The College offers Associate in Science (A.S.) Degrees with concentrations in : in Biological Sciences/Biomedical Science, Health Sciences, Pharmacology, Chemistry/Physics, and Mathematics. The College offers an Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.) Degrees in Music Performance and Music Education. Finally, the College offers an Associate in General Studies (A.G.S) Degree .

Dawson and Washburne Campuses:
Dawson Technical Institute , located at 3901 South State Street , houses the Construction Technology Center that exposes students to the various construction trades and prepares them to receive apprenticeship training.
The Culinary Arts Program is housed at the Washburne Culinary Institute located at South Shore Drive and 71 st Street in the South Shore Cultural Center, presents students the opportunity to learn and practice the techniques of food preparation in a variety of commercial foodservice environments.In addition, the College serves the pre-collegiate training needs of the community through Adult Basic and Secondary Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) under the Adult Education Program on and off campus. Short-term vocational and job skill improvement opportunities are provided through an array of Continuing Education classes and programs.

City Colleges is expanding its General Education courses to include new African-American, Latino(a), and Middle-Eastern Studies classes.
New students (registering Fall 2009) seeking an Associate of Arts degree will be required to complete two semesters of foreign language as a graduation requirement.
City Colleges is seeking full-time and part-time foreign language faculty.
